“I think designers can play more of a role in solving societal problems, not just client problems...We can help in
turning things around. We’re a special breed, and we think with a special part of the brain.” Munday is a designer, who individually and in partnership, creates works with an intent—real change. As co-founder of “Blue Collar Design Theory,”he’s devoted time to working with students at John Hopkins to develop creative public-health information projects for high-crime, low-income neighborhoods. Munday’s intent (using a range of type and media) is to reach people and affect them in some way—a catalyst to change and action. His is a truly altruistic effort—using graphic design as a medium for making the world a better place. “I believe I am here right now...[to]...make a difference. I’ve seen...design make things better for people. I want to do more of that.”
